The BYOD Research Camp is intended for researchers or students who are actively working on a qualitative or mixed methods research project. Attendees join a 4-week hybrid course where two weeks (weeks 1 and 4) take place face to face on Zoom, and two weeks (weeks 2 and 3) take place virtually on the Moodle learning platform, with the additional option of scheduling 1-on-1 consultations with course mentors. The course includes additional resources, such as Qualitative Data AnalysisSoftware (QDAS) tutorial videos, analysis and writing resources, 2 free months of Dedoose, and discussion boards that will help participants advance their analyses at their own pace.
We offer the BYOD Research Camp via an individual ticketed event in June and October every year. Synchronous sessions via Zoom are held from 10am - 12pm pst.
June 9th - Week 1: Qualitative Data AnalysisFoundations (Face to face)
June 16th - Week 2: Using Digital Tools for Qualitative Data Analysis (asynchronous/on Moodle)*
June 23rd - Week 3: Developing Your Own Analysis/Writing (asynchronous/on Moodle)*
June 30th - Week 4: Exploring Patterns, Relationships, and Findings(Face to face)
*Course mentors will be available at session times during Weeks 2 and 3 for Individual Consultations via Zoom
